Is smaller better?
It’s a rainy day in Tasmania as I look out over the water from my Mum’s house at Lewisham to the beach across the bay. Tassie needs the rain- the grass around these parts is not looking too happy. And I have to say- it’s a nice contrast to the bustle of London to be here chilling out a little.
Two nights ago Greg and I were in Adelaide. Another small city with a big “chilled out” vibe.
We did a presentation there for the XL Life Members, hosted by the lovely Judy Hamilton. There were only a handful of people at the event, but the response and the conversation that flowed from the event was nothing short of extraordinary.
It just made me realise that sometimes smaller is better. A small group of committed, aligned individuals is often able to achieve more and make more of an impact than a rag-tag bunch of hundreds.
Keep an eye out for XL Adelaide- they are up to big things!
So this week it’s a toast to small and focussed.
Here’s to it!

A little compassion for clients
Think of a time in the past when you were in a difficult situation and someone helped you out- they threw you line. It might have been as simple as giving you coins for a phonecall, giving you a lift to the station, giving you a hug when you needed it.
How good did it feel?
Just a thought- times are tough- maybe getting tougher. How are you treating your customers? People will remember the people that helped them out when times were tough. Not the ones who bailed on them.
Recent Radio Interview
Hi!
Just thought I’d share with you a radio interview I did here in ol’ London town last Saturday night.
Was heaps of fun, and we chatted about all sorts of things: mindset, strategies, laughs. Crumbs- I even have a bit of a sing!

Chaos and calm
Hi!
This one is more a reminder post- or a thought for the day if you will.
Someone told me recently that Mercury was in retrograde. Not being too astrological myself I didn’t know what that meant, or whether it meant anything really… so I googled it.
Then discovered that perhaps the apparent chaos that seems to be everywhere around recently may have an astrological reason! Or maybe not.
Perhaps it is just so that we can learn that no matter what goes on around us, no matter how concerning, stressful, unexplainable, or devastating- that if you can connect with the quiet place inside that remembers why you’re doing it all, that you can survive.
So- if naughty Mercury is wreaking havoc; or you’re just having a tough day- remember that there’s a part of you that is watching it all happen and is unaffected.
Try it on.
Love Jo
